De ophef rond Antony komt bijzonder ongelegen. De Braziliaanse aankoop van honderd miljoen euro begon uitstekend in Manchester, maar ligt al enige tijd onder vuur vanwege zijn (gebrek aan) prestaties. Volgens menigeen gaat de oud-Ajacied het op deze manier niet redden op Old Trafford.
