Door de personele problemen overweegt Liverpool in januari een nieuwe centrale verdediger te kopen. De naam van Ajax-verdediger Perr Schuurs is de laatste weken vaak genoemd en dus beschouwen velen zijn optreden op Anfield als een ultieme test. De Limburger ontsnapte na zijn overtreding op Sadio Mané, maar verder zijn de fans van de opponent lyrisch.
